For me, plants embody the essence of nature, reflect the temporary existence and are an inexhaustible source of reflective observation. 

In the series 'Flora', I have tried to capture and isolate from nature the same fragments that moved me most of all, and to impart them in my studio with the shape and color that befits the thoughts and feelings they evoked in me in the first place using Lacquer — a thousand-year-old plant material.
